Hope for Haiti’s Special Project for 2005-2006 has been the Special Needs Building, Kaye St. Germaine, at the medical complex in Tabarre, Chateau Blond. This is a major undertaking for Hope for Haiti, but when you see the smiles on the faces of the children and the love in the eyes of their parents, you understand the importance of such a facility. Instead of placing special needs children in orphanages or hiding them in the dark of Haiti’s slums, at Kaye St. Germaine the children will receive outpatient physical therapy and their parents will be trained to continue therapy at home. In addition, the parents will take part in a small business to provide meals to the employees and visitors at the large hospital and thereby earn money to afford to keep their child at home in a loving family. We are presently looking for donors to sponsor rooms at Kaye St. Germaine. Through support of this project you will massively impact the life of children who otherwise would have had to leave their family or suffer a life of hardship that cannot be imagined. For as little as $2,500 you can make a naming gift and participate in the joy that this Special Project will bring to the children. |
