Hope For Haiti

Student Service Program
Hope for Haiti has begun a program to partner with Colleges and Universities in the United States to send students from the United States to Haiti for short term visits. During these visits the students will work with one of Hope for Haiti's partners in Haiti doing various volunteer work. They will also get to know the country and its people and spend time with Haitian University students to exchange ideas and perspectives. It is critical to creating more informed policies toward Haiti that the future leaders of the United States and Haiti have a better understanding of and relationship with one another.

Scholarship Program
Hope for Haiti has established a Scholarship Program designed to assist local students of Haitian background to receive an advanced education and at the same time contribute their efforts to improving Haiti. Under the program, students will be provided a Scholarship to Edison Community College or Ave Maria University. In return, when their studies are complete, they agree to go to Haiti and work for a period of time with one of the schools, clinics or hospitals that we support in Haiti. This program along with our student exchange program will help built a bridge of cooperation, understanding and friendship between promising students in the United States and similar students in Haiti.
