When one confronts Haiti the fact of rampant malnutrition stares one in the face. Over 1/3 of the children in Haiti under the age of 5 are malnourished. This is a sad statistic when we realize that we in the United States are battling an epidemic of overweight and obesity.

· Haiti is last in the world for access to drinkable water
