Education Healthcare Nutrition Projects 2005 Service Learning

Another one of the unfortunate realities of Haiti, is that the poor have no surgical treatment available to them. People who do not have enough money for food obviously do not have money for even desperately needed surgery. This is where Hope for Haiti's Angel Fund steps in to help.

In 2005 the Angel Fund provided needed surgery to almost 200 individuals who otherwise would have had to suffer horribly or die. The impact this has had on these Haitians lives is incalculable.

Imagine your child has a broken leg, an open fracture, and you can do nothing to help.
Imagine your child has appendicitis and you can do nothing to help.
Imagine your child is severely burned and you can do nothing to help.

Healthcare Clinics
In addition to providing medical equipment to clinics, Hope for Haiti receives significant amounts of donated medications and healthcare materials. Determinations are made as to where the medicines are most needed and they are then packaged and shipped by volunteers to one of the clinics or hospitals that we support. The importance of these medications cannot be overstated. For Example, while we take the availability of antibiotics for granted, in Haiti there is a critical shortage of medicines to treat serious infections. Such infections if left untreated lead to horrible suffering, amputation and even death.

For four hundred dollars we can purchase up to $20,000 worth of needed medical supplies.

We are proud to announce that we have received a Four Star Rating from Charity Navigator the preeminent independent evaluator of charities. If you wish to read more simply click on their logo..
